Chris allard is a guitarist mastermind. So much so that he had british web designer mastermind Dave Hall www.icanmakeyouwebsite.com create him a website featuring the best font in the entire world, Copperplate Gothic Bold.

You can almost hear Chris shredding away just looking at the header for his website. Just off the logo itself, I would say that Chris Allard is the best guitarist in the world. It’s not an exageration. This is the power of Copperplate Gothic Bold, transforming rockers into rockstars. International rockstars now that we’ve shown the world Chris Allard’s work. So stop toiling away on your rainy little island Chris, the Queen doesn’t rule your life. Take a giant step into the bright bright sunlight that is the world and take your stage, you’ve earned it.

NBC Sing Off? Pissed Us Off! Try These Notes For Size.

NBC’s “Sing Off” has gone and pissed us off!

Here are the facts:

1. A cappella is awesome
2. Copperplate is amazing
3. Not using Copperplate for an ACappella show was the worst idea ever, you might as well develop a show around kicking baby puppies, and that’s horrible!

Is it a coincidence that the three letters that are the initials for Copperplate Gothic Bold are CGB? No, it was on purpose, those are valid musical notes.

Is it a coincidence that Frederic Goudy invented beatboxing? No sir-ee-doo-bob.

Is it a coincidence that the perfectly shaped serifs used in Copperplate Gothic Bold are much like the uniquely crafted vocal lines used to express the underlying song in A Cappella? That’s easy…NO!!!

Is it a coincidence that the perfect temperature to enjoy CGB is 98 degrees? Or that the show’s host is Nick Lachey, big NO!

NBC, you missed the boat, big time. Not even T-pains appreciative song about you putting him on a boat can save you now. So cancel the show, try again, and next time think before you jump in the pool, the pool of Copperplate Greatness! This is a great start for you a courtesy redesign of your beloved host with a much improved simple but effective logo to promote your show. We just ask that you include Exit 245 next time.

Mans born, man lives, man dies…and it’s all vanity. Cake!!!

Cake is a great band and they have a great font. Sweet...Literally.

Short and sweet…literally. Cake is great and they use Copperplate Gothic Bold. Just let it simmer and contemplate how truly great this is.

“Man is born, man lives, man dies…and it’s all vanity.” Their new B-sides and rarities CD is great. The lyric from above is from a preacher they sampled and played along with. The song is called thrills and is on their album “B-Sides and Rarities” it’s perhaps the greatest cake song ever made.

While the album itself doesn’t necessarily use Copperplate, the fact that they have used Copperplate before and that the band is Cake, we will forgive them and offer it to you on iTunes.
