The Best Font Ever 2009…Copperplate Gothic Bold

Tuesday, December 29th, 2009 | Courtesy Redesigns, Education | 1 Comment

Just Creative Design Needed a New Logo, Copperplate Helped

While I was over at http://justcreativedesign.com/2009/03/04/the-top-100-best-fonts-of-all-time/ I noticed that designer Jacob Cass put together a few lists of the most popular fonts of all time. Noticeably down on the list was Copperplate Gothic Bold at… 60…(crickets). That’s right, he must have just creatively made up 59 other worthless fonts to be placed in front of Copperplate Gothic Bold. He must have also creatively made up all the nonsense about other fonts being better all throughout his internet postings, we couldn’t bear to see these other fonts getting the glory!

We also noticed his logo was in need of help so we’ve included a redesign for his logo free of charge as a professional courtesy! It truly rocks if we do say so ourselves, instead of crying his logo sings in it’s new color palette and fontscape of Copperplate Gothic Bold.

So we’ve created a special post for the “Best Font Ever 2009″ edition. Unanimous voting has decided that out of the millions of fonts available all over the world, that the Best Font Ever 2009 edition award goes to…..

Copperplate Gothic Bold

So put on your party hats ladies and gentleman, fire up the hookah, and let’s celebrate like it’s 1999 because Copperplate Gothic Bold has won the Best Font Ever award for the 2009th year in a row. So spread the good news and let’s defeat the support of any other font other than CGB in 2010!

Getting Lucky with Some Jeans and Copperplate

Tuesday, December 22nd, 2009 | Products | 1 Comment

Lucky Brand Jeans Uses Copperplate Gothic BoldIsn’t it our Lucky day that Lucky Brand Jeans uses Copperplate Gothic Bold for their storefront. There really isn’t too much to say more about this whole thing other than what an amazing sighting. To see Copperplate used in conjunction with such awesome jeans is absolutely fantastic!

The only gripe we really have with this sighting is that there is nothing lucky about Copperplate Gothic Bold, every bit of awesomeness that it has is by design. There is no luck that this was sighted or created, it was decidedly thought out to use the most amazing font in the world in association with some pretty awesome jeans.

Thanks again to Lucky for using CGB, it truly is a “seamless” experience moving from seeing copperplate into wearing a pair of your wonderfully nice fitting blue jeans.

Antiques? No, Chairlooms.

Monday, December 14th, 2009 | Products | 1 Comment

Chairloom copperplate gothic boldWhen you think of old, you think of the stale stench that usually wafts out of your grandparents house. But when you think of something of value you think of the term “chairloom”, something that someone else has sat on that has value because of the people who sat on before it.

We were so excited to see that the folks at chairloom were using Copperplate Gothic Bold to endorse their work. The old lady there looks like she is really excited about the chair she is presenting so the only font worthy of it would be Copperplate Gothic Bold.

We believe that the lady featured in this picture is none other than Martha Washington, the inventor of the American easy chair. It is a little known fact that her husband George Washington was a big fan of the easy chair and used to buy them frequently as a real estate dealer when he lived in Old Town Alexandria.

So when you think that you have something of value lying around the house, and it happens to be a chair, you should look it up, it might just be a “Chairloom” and worthy of Copperplate Gothic Bold!

Copperplate Gothic Bold on a T-shirt!!!

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 | Products | No Comments

Copperplate Gothic Bold T-Shirt with Other FontsIf you ever wondered what it would be like to have Copperplate Gothic Bold on your very own T-Shirt you certainly have found one way to do it. We found a shirt that features (not in the right order) fonts that have been deemed cool by the creator of the shirt at one point or another.

I think the shirt should be re-ordered to “We’ve Supported  Copperplate Gothic Bold all the way through it being cool and beyond.” This version of the shirt would be much more accurate and a better asset.

We do agree with the last statement that comic sans is pure crap. There has been no use or value for that font. If a font could be used to indicate failure, we believe that comic sans might be that font.

To wrap this post up we thought we would feature this shirt for it’s attempt at making a statement. That Copperplate Gothic Bold is the best font ever created and that all other fonts are inferior. This shirt doesn’t come out and say it directly, but it’s plausible for sure. So fire up the copper tea kettle and pick up a T for two and celebrate Copperplate Gothic Bold, you’ve earned it.

I Like My Beef Nice and Bold!!!

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009 | Food | No Comments

MorroWood Farms Beef Using Copperplate Gothic Bold FontAhhh it’s been awhile friends but Copperplate Gothic Bold is not getting any less relevant so we’ve taken the torch back up and will do all that is necessary to report on sightings.

Here we have a nice farm, MorroWood Farm. They like to do things right, tradition is important to their way of life, so is being a full blood American. That’s why our friends at MorroWood have used Copperplate to not only brand their company, but also brand their cattle. Not gonna lie, I like beef and I like good beef. If I was in the store and had to choose between two cuts of beef, and I had the help of Copperplate to show me value and quality,  I would choose MorroWood’s beef.

So fire up the grille, throw on a couple of filets, and let’s get this party started. Morrowood is in the house, and their beef is what’s for dinner!

Verisphere is exceeding expections, with CGB.

This image captures 3 of the most powerful images in the entire world…literally. The World, a handshake and Copperplate Gothic Bold. The strong bonds to our humanity are evoked through the strong handshake over all of us, showing how truly small we are in comparison to the human condition.

The Gold in the Copperplate Gothic Gold shows that this company is rolling in the bling bringing in the big bucks. So thanks to Worth 1000 for bringing this superb image of greatness to the forefront and giving our Copperplate Gothic Bold fans an early christmas.

Laying Down the Law With Copperplate!!!

Stonelaw is laying the law down with CGB!

Stonelaw is laying the law down with CGB!

Any high school that uses Copperplate Gothic Bold is good in my book. The picture of the school is kind of creepy, almost looks like a prison. Prison or not knowledge is king at this institution of learning and when it was time to make the decision of how they would like their name, history and future to be represented only one font was selected. You chose wisely Stonelaw.

Countdown until CGB KO’s Every Font Ever Made!!!

Wednesday, August 13th, 2008 | Products | No Comments

The countdown used until every person in the world decides to give up on fonts for the exclusivity of Copperplate Gothic Bold.

The countdown used until every person in the world decides to give up on fonts for the exclusivity of Copperplate Gothic Bold.

Oh it’s been counted down and Copperplate Gothic Bold has won yet again. Not only trusted to reveal to the world a new product, CGB did it with grace, dignity and panache.

Mr. Gutenberg, the inventor of the printing press, would have been excited not only for the advent of Copperplate Gothic Bold which made his invention useful after so many years, but also for a countdown that you could view online.

So thanks Mr. Gutenberg and thanks Mr. Goudy for enabling mankind to achieve such high levels of culture.

Ni hao mah, Chinese Beer!!!

Tuesday, August 12th, 2008 | Alcohol | No Comments

Tsingtao beer makes the olympics happen, and it makes Copperplate Gothic Bold happen.

Tsingtao beer makes the olympics happen, and it makes Copperplate Gothic Bold happen.

Imported from China but consumed near the heart, Tsingtao beer hath broughteth the ruckus with their creative use of Copperplate Gothic Bold. Some may say, now CGB, TSINGTAO is not CGB it is a more stylized version. To that I say, yes, while the TSINGTAO may be a more stylelized version, the BEER is CGB, and it’s close enough where I believe that the creator thought that the Beer needed CGB to pull it off.

Some may not the Chinese for their tea as in “all the tea in China”, but this Chinese beer will quickly put them on the map for their beer. Backed by great taste, Copperplate Gothic Bold, and lots of lead this beer is guaranteed to be a hit. Watch out Bud Light, Tsingtao is a comin’!
