Starbucks may have many locations but Boston Common Coffee Company has Copperplate Gothic Bold in their logo. They also have a window on the outside of the store to watch people inside the store pretending to do work on their laptops.
Boston Barber Co. Trusted By Paul Revere
Friday, April 20th, 2012 | Health, Travel | No Comments
Paul Revere is rumored to have gotten his haircut minutes before making his night ride to warn of the British coming into Boston at the north church. It’s said that he got his hair cut at the Boston Barber Company, just on the sign alone!
Another little known fact was that Paul knew he needed to ride very fast to make it in time and asked the barber for an aerodynamic style to make the journey faster. The resulting hair cut was “the fade.” The barber famously coined the name in this phrase, “Trim if ya time, fade if by sea.”
It was Revered among men at the time in Boston after his ride but was never captured in historical documents. They lacked the ink necessary to recreate the intricate detail of the fade.
This would have not been possible without Boston Barber Co. not using Copperplate Gothic Bold. To this very day they use Copperplate on all their signage. The rest is history.

Cheers in Boston was thought to be made famous by a TV sitcom. We know after closer inspection it’s because they use Copperplate Gothic Bold in their signage!
Nothing says gift shop this way better than Copperplate Gothic Bold. Amazingly when we were in there, everyone knew our name.
A Cappella, MySpace and the Bostonians!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Music | No Comments

The Bostontonians A Cappella are getting down to the CGB!
A Cappella music if you have never heard it is extremely important to the international music scene. It gives extremely talented people the ability to be superstars for the 4 years they are attending college and for the ones that can’t get away, the rest of the time they are in grad school. A Cappella also inspires students in high school and middle school to keep pursuing music as part of their lives later on in life.
The premise is that groups audition new members in the fall and spring as old members graduate. They spend between 3-6 hours a week practicing and they sing pop songs with just voices. It’s absolutely great, and we think that the Bostonians are great because they use Copperplate Gothic Bold.
So CGB it up friends in Boston, one of America’s greatest cities. Keep up the A Cappella greatness, keep rocking Quincy Market, and throw a tea bag or two in the water for us!
