They Install a Sense of Greatness With Every Job
This is the best color they could have chosen because after people see their logo Washington Office Installations will be raking in truck loads of gold from their services.
Not only do they install offices, they install greatness. So thank you Washington Office Installations, your truck inspired us and inspires the millions who drive around the DC metro area every day. We give you the Gold Star Copperplate Gothic Bold Award of Approval.
Barbados Veterinary Services? More Like Butcher Shop, Tweetie is Not Coming Home.
Thursday, January 21st, 2010 | Food, Health | 5 Comments
I’m usually not negative…today might be a little different. After searching the Internets for a bit I found this peculiar website for “Veterinary Services” on the island of Barbados.
I didn’t know much about Barbados but after a little digging we found it’s not your average Caribbean island nation. Fueled mainly by the sugar industry and tourism, Barbados has a nice little thing going on. Good infrastructure, and consistently ranked in the top 75 nations of the world on the “Human Development Index” that helps grade if countries are swimming or sinking. This one is swimming, that’s a good thing, it’s an island. It’s flag has an f’ing trident on it, that’s badass! (thanks wikipedia)
However, based on this website, I’m going to say this is an inappropriate use of Copperplate (GASP!). The pictures they use are a little suspect, I would venture to say that the “Veterinary Services” is where animals go to die. The pale green doesn’t help, it creates the sense of sickness and perpetuates unsettling feelings of the sun isn’t going to shine tomorrow. The overall layout of the site doesn’t really add to the whole feeling that little Johnny is going to get the answer he wants to the question, “Mom, Dad, Is Tweetie is going to get better after we take him to the Vet in Barbados?!?!”

Bringing your meat in a suitcase to Barbados might be smart.
I can’t say I’m too inspired from the links right below their “logo” which include resources for “bringing meat and meat products in personal luggage to Barbados”. If they would stop eating their sick and dying animals from the “Vet” they might not encourage visitors to bring their own cuts of meat and poultry into the country.
So maybe this post isn’t negative, maybe it’s a positive wrapped up in a negative.
Free advice and suggestions to the fair people of the island of Barbados:
- Please don’t use Copperplate Gothic Bold to promote your sick animal eating program
- Please stop eating your animals
- Please stop encouraging visitors to bring their own meat into the country
- Try a darker green, blue, or any color other than pale green, yellows. oranges or the like to promote your Veterinary Services
- Use images that are larger, more focused, not that could be mistaken for cuts of beef…after the animal has passed…shady…I don’t expect this from you, only shady Chinese food restaurants

I'll Take The "Daily Special" *wink*
So cheer up Barbados, it isn’t all too bad. You’ve found a way to be greener, recycling limited resources on an island nation is important. With a few fixes you can promote the message that you are hoping to intend. You can always use Comic Sans or Kablam! for other fonts to promote your services. Remember to “Vet” new content before posting.

Tuesday, January 19th, 2010 | Food | No Comments
JFG Coffee is special indeed just look at the packaging. What makes this coffee special is the fact they recognize high quality ingredients need high quality packaging. They could have used black and blue for all the packagin for this product but decided gold was need. Gold is important because if you take the G from Gothic and switch it out for the B in bold you get Copperplate Bothic Gold. Surely no coincidence this is the real deal, Gold and Copperplate belong together and thank you to the fine folks at JFG Coffee for recognizing that.
So perk up your morning with a little Copperplate in your cup and most likely you’ll get a raise, a big raise at work, because you have the power of Copperplate, JFG and Gold in your cup.

Spanx Use the Power of Copperplate Gothic Bold To Work
I found it interesting, they don’t use Copperplate totally, it’s more of a hybrid pseudo-copperplate font. So we do appreciate the look a like, and we do appreciate the effort so we’ll recognize it. So to all you women folk in the world, this product exists, please use it, and Spanx you Spanx for making this elastic product that takes care of an important task and trusting a pseudo-copperplate to represent your public face to the world.
Yo-Yo Ima Champion With CGB
Tuesday, January 12th, 2010 | Products | No Comments
The world’s favorite toy, the yo-yo, just got a major facelift! This holiday season we were the proud recipients of, in many ways the best gift ever, a real deal, championship quality yo-yo package that included a traditional wooden yo-yo and a fancy light up yo-yo.
After unwrapping the package and seeing the beautiful box and CGB emblazoned on the front we started to tear up. It was a special moment. After trying out the yo-yos it hearkened back to our days in college at yo-yo festivals where we would try our might against some of the worlds best. Competing for the gold, the glory, and the coveted golden yo-yo blessed by yo-yo great Archie Von Yo-Yo from Germany. These yo-yos were all of that and more. So head out head out to the store, keep your eyes peeled, CGB is everywhere, don’t miss your chance to share your CGB knowledge with the lay folk!
Copperplate Gives a Three Hour Head Start
Monday, January 11th, 2010 | Education, Products | No Comments
We were alerted to a company that was selling pre-made business cards to creative types who weren’t able to think of creative things for themselves. We found this interesting and were drawn to, by our estimations, the best seller out of their entire inventory. It’s a somewhat clever way to show that a client will have an advantage by using that particular person. We found it no coincedence that they used Copperplate Gothic Bold as the font to show that they would have a clear advantage over their competitors! Copperplate gothic bold is incredible and this card make sure there is no question as to what the best font to use as.
So continue to be creative, continue to do great things, but remember if you don’t use Copperplate you might as well be the state of California compared to the East Coast, three hours behind everything!!!
