9 of 10 Absinthe Drinkers Agree, CGB on the Rocks?
Thursday, December 31st, 2009 | Alcohol
Looking for a food recipe we stumbled across this site for people who really really really love Absinthe. They love it so much they built an entire non-profit around the dissemination of quality Absinthe information. Rooting out many commonly held myths about the liqueur. Similar to our cause of promoting Copperplate, and dispelling the myths of the artsy fartsy types that Copperplate has no place in the font world.
So thank you to the Wormwood Society for existing and promoting the herbal (sometimes) green liqeur that seems to have so much mystery and history surrounding it. It’s only proper that you decided to use Copperplate Gothic Bold throughout your design, the other liqeurs of the world are surely green with envy.

I was really amused to find this. I’m the founder (and web designer) of the Wormwood Society.
I do love Copperplate Gothic Bold and it wasn’t until after I’d used it for the WS site that I began to notice it so much in commercial use.
However that didn’t stop me, when I joined the liquor industry several years later, from also using it on my own absinthe brand’s label: absinthemarteau.com
Thanks for the chuckle and Happy Near Year!
Regards,
Gwydion Stone
