Mans born, man lives, man dies…and it’s all vanity. Cake!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Food, Music | No Comments

Cake is a great band and they have a great font. Sweet...Literally.
Short and sweet…literally. Cake is great and they use Copperplate Gothic Bold. Just let it simmer and contemplate how truly great this is.
“Man is born, man lives, man dies…and it’s all vanity.” Their new B-sides and rarities CD is great. The lyric from above is from a preacher they sampled and played along with. The song is called thrills and is on their album “B-Sides and Rarities” it’s perhaps the greatest cake song ever made.
While the album itself doesn’t necessarily use Copperplate, the fact that they have used Copperplate before and that the band is Cake, we will forgive them and offer it to you on iTunes.
Enjoy this great song and may you have your Cake, Copperplate Gothic Bold and eat it too.

A Very Large Turkey, Copperplate it up!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Food | No Comments

This large turkey serves as a lesson to America, bigger is always better.
Look at this big ass turkey, even with all of it’s size it was still missing something…Copperplate Gothic Bold.
Don’t know about you but turkeys are an important part of thanksgiving, this turkey happens to be the largest in the world. Judging by the size of the man in the picture below, he has eaten the equivalent amount of turkey meat in the large turkey above him.
With the approaching holiday it’s important to know that Copperplate Gothic Bold serves an integral part of this joyous day and occasion. It helps bring families together, it helps them not fight over who gets the last bit of cranberry sauce, and it helps them fall asleep after dinner.
So for this Thanksgiving, give thanks for Copperplate Gothic Bold. It really does wonderful and amazing things that not only Americans can be thankful for, but the entire world. We’re off to go make a tur-duck-in.
No Mortgage to Cover Our Designs, This One’s On Us!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Banks, Courtesy Redesigns, Finance, Products, Real Estate | No Comments

Suntrust bank offers mortgages and other loan products, we offer a design to help their business.
With all the talk of mortgages, sub-prime lending, loans and otherwise bank related things in the news we thought it only to appropriate to keep up the logo redesign for these banks who need a little help.
Their logos are tired, boring and otherwise don’t communicate the trust that they need to communicate. The Suntrust logo looks like they cut off a chickens head and put it on top of some letters. Well they can have their chicken and eat it too, it just needs a little help from Copperplate Gothic Bold.
Their mortgages and lending abilities may be fine, and they may make a killing off of their fractional reserve banking practices as all banks do, but their font is holding them back. By making a simple substitution of Copperplate Gothic Bold their logo goes from boring to incredible.
So Suntrust have fun, take our logo gratis, keep offering low rates on mortgages and watch as business skyrockets with this simple and easy to implement “change.”
Mortgage, Banks, Sub-Prime Mortgages and Copperplate Gothic Bold!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Banks, Courtesy Redesigns, Finance, Products | 2 Comments

CGB does a courtesy redesign of the Bank of America Logo and fixes all of the Loan woes of the world with one font.
We are suggesting a new logo for the mortgage, loan, and free checking company Bank of America.
We feel their current logo doesn’t quite show that they can give you the best rate for a mortgage, it shows you that they don’t care about you, they live in a stone castle overseas and that they couldn’t take the time to find a real American flag so basterdized a version of it.
If you find a house that you like, and you sign the dotted line for a mortgage, the rate at which you get the mortgage is important because a 1/4 of a percent can mean the difference of tens of thousands of dollars. So Bank of America, consider this our gift to you, in the hopes that you can beat this sub-prime mortgage meltdown mess and consider our logo which instills integrity, good will, and trust so that you and your customers can believe in your company. Copperplate Gothic Bold once again destroys anything that some sans-serif’d geeky looking designer in their parents back bedroom could ever conjour up.
Copperplate Gothic Bold, the font so good, you can bank on it!!!
Stonewall Kitchen Loves the CGB!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Food, Products | No Comments

Stonewall Kitchen is a purveyor of wonderful sauces and kitchen treats and deal out healthy amounts of CGB!
What’s better than a thanksgiving Ham? Copperplate Gothic Bold in the kitchen!
Stonewall kitchen uses Copperplate Gothic Bold all over their site to showcase all of the utensils, pans and other hoiday once-a-year-this-is-why-I’m-buying-this-crap-for-you-goodies that the holidays are known for. It’s not just run of the mill stuff it actually looks like the things they have are nice and useful. Thanks to CGB visitor Chris for making this wondeful site known to the world for their treats and for their font. They not only clad their kitchen walls with stone, but Copper as well.
The Flack Club, Body Armor Makes You Stronger!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Air Force, Military | No Comments

The Flack Club doesn't take Flack from anyone, but if they did they do it safely.
Body armor may not seem like a piece of equipment or gear that you don everyday when you go to the store, go for a walk, or for a leisurely jog in the morning but for one friend of the CGB, it is something he wears everyday.
When showing off the Flack Jacket Copperplate GOthic Bold is the clear logical choice. Not only does it keep you safe literally, but the font protects you from bad design gremlins as well.
Congrats to the Flack Club for getting it together and showing off their CGB pride.
Fred Thompson Is Acting!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Political | No Comments

Fred Thompson is acting!
He’s acting friends, he’s acting. Every actor needs a producer, that’s why most great politicians used to be actors because they get it. They really aren’t the ones in charge, they just look good in front of the people and sell what they producers and writers give them.
Fred Thompson uses Copperplate Gothic Bold and by the picture it’s working. People are interested in what he has to say, half of them probably think they are there for a taping of “Law and Order” which if Fred Thompson loses the B-Roll could be sold to the show.
So any rate, politics and Copperplate also go hand in hand because it helps convey trust, strength and the American way. No other font could do that or even try to do that. Take that Impact!!!
Fitness Made Simple, Just Buy and Wear the Shirt!!!
Thursday, August 14th, 2008 | Health | No Comments

You can get yourself some CGB goodness and John Basedows abs with no work.
You know, it really would be great to have Abs like that, and now you can because the abs are painted on there! I see how this works, you get the abs by paying the money, getting the shirt and singing the song!
Any ad that uses star boxes to get the attention of the viewer is trouble…just because they are so darn effective. It not only grabs and rivets your attention but the Copperplate Gothic Bold embedded makes it even harder to turn away.
Good John and folks have made this shirt a limited edition because if they didn’t I think that Fruit of the Loom would have a run on white cotton shirts for imprinting that they have never seen in all their history as a T-shirt company.
Thanks for exalting the CGB all over your site Fitness Made Simple, John Basedow and the Abs. You have made wearing a T-Shirt “AB”solutely easy to “stomach” once again.
